Complete this On line 40 Hr. class then attend the 8 hour Hands On training element at any IESMC Regional Learning Center.
This is the lecture presentation for the OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER also known as “Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response” Or “Hazardous Waste Site Worker” course is specifically designed for workers who are or likely to be involved in: clean-up operations, voluntary clean-up operations, emergency response operations, and storage/disposal, or treatment of hazardous substances or uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. OSHA HAZWOPER 40 Hour is required for any and all employees working on these types of sites or projects. This training is mandated by the Government.
Please visit 29CFR1910.120 which confirms this meets the standard for completing the entire 40 Hour class on line. Hands on training for instruments, levels of protection, respiratory protection and decon, is required. This may be completed at any IESMC, LLC regional training class. Remember no matter how you obtain the 40 Hr. class, in person, On Line from ANY provider you must complete an addition 24 Hours of On-Site training (with your supervisor).
For example, this means from ANY provider.
Minimum 32 Hours classroom/lecture or On-Line.
Minimum 8 Hours Hands On Class room or competent person at your company.
Minimum (additional) 24 Hours on-site training by your company.
In other words, your organization will need to commit to a total of 64 hours to meet the standard. Again this is the standard from any provider.
Note: The liability for total hours trained lies with proof from your company that the standard has been satisfied not the training organization. That is why some on-line trainers are not telling the entire truth.
